I'll be frank: I. love. pizza. Besides pasta, it's what I crave most. I have to fight daily battles not to just order Papa John's and inhale it all in one sitting. Well, at least I accomplished one of those things by making my own pizza. I still can't seem to avoid inhaling the whole thing. But it was SO good.
I found a recipe for Pizza Bianca in the Epicurious app on my iPhone and it inspired me to create my own easier version of it. I'm always looking for shortcuts. I started out with Pillsbury pizza dough and folded over the corners for a nice big crust. I diced a clove of garlic, mixed it with some olive oil and brushed it over the crust. Then I sliced some mozzerella (not fresh, just the kind that jewel makes) and laid some pieces over the crust, leaving some gaps. I sprinkled some of the chopped proscuitto on top for a little bonus and baked according to the instructions on the dough.
The result: a pizza I could not resist consuming in one sitting. I will work on that for next time. Side note: the crust was not nearly as dark in real life as in the picture.
